Lily & Violet, the Greyhound Sisters
We are so happy to have met these two beauties. They are both rescued (retired) racing Greyhounds, and they are enjoying the fabulous retired life with their mom, now. We had such amazing weather and fall foliage this day…and the girls sure knew how to model for the camera! Aren’t they stunning?

Sadie Mae
Sadie Mae is one of those dogs you just have to fall in love with! She was rescued by her mom after living on the streets. She was physically scarred from her previous life, but she still has the most soulful eyes and sweetest disposition.

Mimi, Maxxie, and Missy – The Puggle Sisters
We just love repeat clients! We are truly blessed to do what we love, and we meet such great people and pups along the way! You may remember the “Puggle Sisters”, Mimi, Maxxie, and Missy from a couple years back. Well, we had the pleasure of photographing them again this year. These three just crack me up! They look like they are laughing and having a great time. We really hope they had a great time…I know we did!

Owen and Samson – CT Cat Photography
Occasionally, we’ll get a request to do cat photography and we get nervous because cats are typically much more difficult to photograph than dogs (at least in our experience – maybe they know we’re truly dog people..haha!) So when Owen and Samson’s mom asked us to photograph her cats, we figured, “hey why not!” We met Owen first, and he was a dream to photograph! He was such a great model with striking blue eyes! We were very excited and thought, “this is too easy!” THEN we met Samson! Samson wanted absolutely nothing to do with us! He hid for most of the time we were there. We did finally manage to get a shot of him in his favorite window, but man – it was a challenge!

Skye the Samoyed Puppy
Last weekend, we ventured out in the snow and met my brother’s new puppy Skye, the Samoyed. O.M.G…isn’t she adorable!!! She has the sweetest puppy breath, and the fluffiest puppy butt! I am so excited to welcome her into the MUTTography family!! Welcome Skye!!

Zeus – the Bouvier Des Flanders
It was a very cold and wet February day, just after a snow storm, when we met Zeus the Bouvier Des Flanders puppy! He kept us pretty busy running around chasing after him, so we worked up quite a sweat in the end! Thank you Zeus, we hope you had fun too!

Sheldon and Samantha
Today I had the privilege of photographing an amazing Connecticut photographer, Samantha, and her dog Sheldon. Sheldon is a “trip-paw” and probably one of the sweetest dogs I’ve met! You can totally see the love they share for each other, and I am very thankful to have been there to capture their special love!
Thanks Samantha and Sheldon! Hope you had fun too!

Eli the Labradoodle – CT Pet Photography
Oh my gosh! Labradoodles are so much fun…and this guy was no exception! Meet Eli, the 17-month-old fluff-ball of pure energy! Eli had us chasing him all over the yard, and actually stopped (very briefly at times) to let us get a shot of him sitting. If dogs could be comedians, I’m sure Eli would apply for the job! This guy was hysterical.
Thank you Eli, for a wonderful day! I won’t have to go to the gym for a while now! Haha!

Dog Lover’s Weekend – Kennebunkport Maine
This past weekend was probably the most fun I’ve had in YEARS! My mom and her dog Abbey and I took a road trip up to Kennebunkport, Maine for the Colony Hotel‘s 11th Annual Dog Lover’s Weekend. We met so many great dogs (even a cat!) and we made some wonderful new friends!
Apparently we were the “newbies”, as most of the people have been coming to this event for years. I can see why! We’ve already booked our rooms for next year. Even though we were newbies, we were welcomed by so many “regulars” and we felt right at home! The staff at the Colony Hotel was absolutely wonderful too – and they went out of their way to make sure that “all of us crazy dog people” were taken care of.
Some of the weekend’s events included a welcome ceremony and dinner, a Paw-ject Runway costume parade, and a dog-wedding, YES, a DOG-WEDDING! Daisy and Odie tied the knot! 🙂 And, we were even invited to Winston’s 14th birthday party!!
I took so many photos (I went through 6 memory cards!) I hope you can get the essence of what this weekend was all about! It was amazing! And if you were one of the lucky ones who attended this weekend’s festivities, please leave a comment and share your experiences. Enjoy!
