Bella, Bubba, and Baby Brother! – CT Pet Photography
We LOVE repeat clients, so when we were asked to photograph our friends Bella and Bubba again — only this time with their new baby brother, how could we say no?? Last year, Bella and Bubba, with some help from their mom and dad, announced that they were going to have a little brother! It was so nice to meet their little brother and see how much Bella and Bubba love and protect him. What an awesome family! We love them!

STARS Fall Festival – October 2014
As usual, the STARS Fall Festival brought out the cutest furry faces in Connecticut!! We managed to capture a few snap-shots of the day…but, having been set-up near the LuckyDog Lure Coursing, we found ourselves enthralled with watching the pups chase the lure all day! Haha!! It was soooo much fun to watch! (hopefully we’ll have a few shots to post of the lure-course)
Anyway, we hope you enjoy the photos!! These are just snap-shots, so they’re not indicative of our custom portrait work…but we always LOVE to snap a few images of the day to reflect upon. Click the photo below to get to the gallery.
Thanks for visiting 🙂
Sandy – CT Pet Photography
There is always something so special about a senior dog…and this one is no different. This is beatiful Sandy. Can you believe she is twelve years old? She is definitely an “old soul”…she has the most gentle personality, and was just a joy to photograph.
Thank you Sandy, and thanks to your mom too…it was a pleasure spending time with you.

Callie and Maddie – CT Pet Photography
We had the pleasure of meeting these two little dachshund pups, Callie and Maddie, over the summer. They were so much fun! They kept us pretty busy during the session, since they were very focused on their surroundings (I think they might have been looking for squirrels!) In the end, I think we were able to capture their personalities pretty well!
Thanks guys, we had a great time!

Quinn the Black Lab Puppy – Connecticut Pet Photography
So, last week John and I had to make an extremely difficult decision. We took some time-off to do some projects around the house – You know, fun stuff — like painting, tiling, repairing ceilings, etc. Then, we got “the call” – well, actually, the voicemail.
To be honest, when I listened to the message, all I focused on was “14 week old Black Lab puppy” – so I immediately replied “We absolutely LOVE doing puppy photo-shoots!!!” And, so it began — or in this case, NOT! The house projects did not begin, because we made the extremely difficult decision to book a shoot and spend time with Quinn, the 14 week old Black Lab PUPPY, instead! (um, can you blame us?)
Quinn was such a little ball of energy at times, but she was really mellow too! She knew commands like sit, roll over, and down — and her momma just taught her to “play dead”. She was hysterical!!! And while we usually bring a few new toys to play with, Quinn seemed to prefer eating grass instead!! LOTS of grass!!! She pulled up what might equate to about a half-acre of grass! Chomp, chomp! THEN, she proceeded to chomp on some sticks, and vines! After all that, she got the serious “zoomies” and had us chasing her around the park. At the end, we were all worn-out, and we slept really well that night!
Thank you Quinn, and your momma too, for an amazing time! We had so much fun!
(and sorry Mr. Groundskeeper, for any patches you might have to make to the lawn..oops!)

Ashley the Cavalier King Charles Spaniel – Connecticut Pet Photography
Whew….this week was a busy one for us! Just getting around to posting some long over due sessions. This particular session was with the beautiful Miss Ashley, the Cavalier King Charles Spaniel in Guilford, CT.
As soon as her mom opened the door, Ashley welcomed us with open arms (well, paws!) This girl gives actual HUGS! She is such a sweetheart! AND…she really knows how to “work” the look. This was what her mom called her “modeling debut” and no joke, Ashley is so beautiful, she could definitely be a model!
After some rolling around in the grass, and playing with her new yellow ball, we were all beat! Thanks Ashley – and thanks to your mom and dad too for a wonderful session! We hope to see you soon 🙂
Dezi, Lucy, and Amber – Connecticut Pet Photography
This was a VERY exciting session for us, since we have never photographed an Alaskan Malamute before! Well — that is, not a purebred Malamute! Our dog Jamie is part Alaskan Malamute and part Border Collie (with a few little extra breeds mixed-in here and there!) So, needless to say, it was such a treat to meet these THREE Malamutes, Dezi, Lucy and Amber!!
Dezi weighs-in at a whopping 120lbs, and Lucy around 95. They are brother and sister from the same litter of pups. When their mom first opened the door to let them out, all I saw was a HUGE white fluff-ball barreling towards me — my first thought was OMG! HE’S GIGANTIC! Next was, OMG — his face is precious!!! Next came Lucy. Not as gigantic as Dezi, but BIG nonetheless!!! These two greeted us as if they were ready to get the party started! So, we did!!! And what a party! We had a blast!

Then, just as we were about to pack up, we asked if Amber could come out for a few photos — Amber wasn’t originally scheduled to have her photos done, since she is a little scared around new people, and because she’s a little older and more frail than the other two, her mom thought it would be best not to subject her to all the activity. Well — she came out surprised all of us! She was not shy at all, AND she was bouncing around like a young pup!! She was ready to PLAY! I am so glad we were able to capture a few of Amber — she is, after all, 12 years old!!! Can you believe it? Look at her happy face!!

And, finally, one of all three….

Gidget – Connecticut Pet Photography
We first met Gidget at the Help Willy’s Friends Per Fair, this past Spring and I instantly fell in LOVE with her! If she was a human, she’d probably be one of those “cool kids” who you always have tons of fun with — you know, the ones who crack you up…ALL THE TIME! That’s how she was at our photo session. We had SO much fun with her, and of course with her mom and dad too! By the end of our session, we were BEAT! Gidget really wore us out…I think we slept for three days straight after that!!! Haha!! Funny thing is, we got a text from Gidget’s mom, not even 10 minutes after they all left the park — Gidget wore herself out too, and passed-out in the back seat of her mom and dad’s car on the way home!!! We love when that happens!! 🙂
Here are just a few of our favorites….isn’t she just adorable??!!

Coco’s 3rd Birthday! – Connecticut Pet Photography
It is always fun to get an inquiry from a client that says, “I want to bring a birthday cake, and party stuff to our photography session! And she will be wearing her necklace!” The visions that ran through my mind were…OMG, I can’t WAIT for this session! How fun!!!
We met Coco and her family down at Savin Rock in West Haven, on a warm beautiful evening! She was as adorable as I had imagined, but surprisingly — smaller than I had thought! She was just a tiny little girl! We all hit it off right away, and Coco had a blast!!! Here a just a few images of her special 3rd Birthday at the park…
