What's Your Pup's Story?

Karuna Bully Rescue – Adorable Adoptables!

Since John and I are HUGE supporters of animals rescue, we find it only fitting that we give back by volunteering our photography skills to pups in need!  We are members of an organization called HeARTs Speak.  HeARTs Speak is comprised of all sorts of wonderful animal artists, photographers, writers, and ambassadors who give back with their skills to shelters, and rescue organizations!!!  This time we met Riley and Libby (short for Liberty, since she was sprung from a kill-shelter on the 4th of July!)  Both Riley and Libby are available through Karuna Bully Recsue.

Libby is a petite little girl!  If you are looking for a small dog…but not a “small” dog, Libby is your girl!!!  She is so unbelievably gorgeous…and just as sweet as can be!

Libby

Riley is a Pitty Mix (I think he may be part Plot Hound)….he has the most awesome tiger stripes!!!  His brindle coat is so gorgeous!!!  Riley is such a sweetheart…he is super mellow, and walks great on a leash!  He would make an awesome hiking partner!  Please share his photo, and contact Karuna Bully Rescue if you like to adopt either Libby or Riley.  You will not be disappointed!

Meeting Yellowstone on Our (hot) Trip to Sedona, AZ

OK, so I guess going to Arizona in June wasn’t the smartest idea!!!  I knew it would be warm….but it was HOT – sweltering HOT!!!  But you know, even though it was HOT, it was still a dry heat and that beats the humidity in Connecticut any day!

While we were in Sedona, we met a beautiful Yellow Lab/Shepherd/Chow mix named “Yellowstone”.  What a beautiful girl!!!  Yellowstone will be 15 years old in September!!!  She has a little bit of arthritis, so her family takes her out in her own little buggy so she can still travel and be with them on vacations!  Isn’t that great!!!

Sedona is very pet friendly town…lots of restaurants and hotels allow your furry friend to stay.  And how about those hiking trails!???  Maybe someday we’ll bring our critters with us!

For now, enjoy some of our travel photos of of Sedona, as well as the beautiful girl named, Yellowstone!!

Lucy the Yellow Lab – Connecticut Pet Photography

I’m just getting around to blogging about this session now…This puppy-session was crazy fun!  Lucy the Yellow Lab was adorable!  She was unlike any puppy I’ve worked with…she was actually quite cooperative!  She sat when she was asked, she looked cute (without even being asked..haha!!) she was just all around fun, fun, fun!  And her mom and dad were awesome too!  I just love puppy sessions…If you’re thinking about a puppy session, don’t wait too long…they grow up so fast!!!

Farewell Payton

It’s been a really tough week, and it’s hardly even Wednesday yet!!  I just learned this morning that this sweet old girl Payton crossed the rainbow bridge.  You might remember Riley from a few posts back?  Well, Riley and Payton were good friends.  They didn’t live together, but their moms would take turns caring for each other’s dogs while either one was out of town.  So, as you can imagine, Payton and Riley were good buds!  Sadly, Payton developed an auto immune decease and underwent a blood transfusion, but unfortunately, she was not able to bounce back.  I leave you with this photo of Payton.  May you rest in peace Pay Pay, and run free with Riley now!

Help Willy’s Friends Pet Fair – Next Weekend!

Hey there!  We’re excited to be getting ready for the 4th Annual Help Willy’s Friends Pet Fair, next weekend!

Come see us on May 20th at Coginchaug Regional High School, 135 Pickett Lane in Durham, CT.  Last year we had a great turnout, despite all the rain.  I’m hoping for better weather this year, but whatever we end up with will be fine.  For now, enjoy some of our favorite images from last year…

Best Friends New York Super Adoption

I haven’t had a chance to post a recap of the Best Friends Animal Society Super Adoption in White Plains, NY until just now.  I’ve been sorting through the hundreds thousands of images that John and I took at the event and I am still so completely overwhelmed by the whole experience!  It was incredible to see sooooo many volunteers lending a helping hand!  And the families, well….so many families chose ADOPTION this weekend, and that is just amazing!!!!  It was truly life altering for so many, including ME!  I’ve been a HUGE supporter of animal rescue for years.  I’ve done a lot of volunteering before, but this experience, by far, was the BEST!  I will never forget the animals I met, and the families who left the event a little bit bigger than they arrived.

THANKS TO YOU Best Friends (and the gazillion volunteers you wrangled up!)  Check out more pics here!

Run Free Sweet Riley

Today I found out that sweet Riley has crossed the Rainbow Bridge.  John and I were lucky enough to spend a few hours (on the HOTTEST day of August last year) to photograph Riley and her brother Boris Bodie.  Needless to say, we are extremely sad to hear the news.  We may only get to spend a few hours with our “clients” but, the time we spend with them is wonderful!  May you Rest in Peace, sweet girl.

So, we’ve been tinkering around a little on our website over the last few days.  We just needed something a little more fresh…you know?  After all, it is a new year, and the start of a soon-to-be busy season!!!  So, I am leaving you with this sweet little image of Corduroy, the Goldendoodle.  What a CUTE pup!  In the meantime, if you want to visit our old site, visit us at www.MUTTographyPetPhoto.com

Sammy, Jack & Maddie | CT Pet Photography

I am a horrible blogger!  I blame it all on Facebook…hahaha!!  So…a couple weeks ago, John and I did a session with Sammy the Russian Blue, Jack the Pit-Bull, and Maddie the Pittie-Mix.  What a fun day we had!!!  Sammy is a gorgeous little (well big) lady, with a great attitude!  LOVE her!  And Jack is a hoot!  He’s so spunky and fun…likes to give sloppy kisses too!  Maddie is as sweet (and shy) as can be.  She didn’t really know what those two big black eye-ball-looking things were that we had pointing at her, but eventually she came around and gave us a few poses.  Here are a few from our day with them.  Enjoy!
